La Rosa Campsite Extraordinaire, Scarborough, North Yorkshire

We decided from the beginning that the campsite should be constructed from recycled, reclaimed and found objects. Our 20 acre site is specifically designed to be low impact and environmentally aware of this area of outstanding beauty. With this in mind, the camping is low energy (candles and fairy lights), low pollution (no nasty chemicals or generators) and respectful to wildlife (the quieter you are the more chance you have of seeing the deer). Our showers are in a converted byre, the compost loo is in an original vintage wooden shepherds hut and we have an open air roll-top bath in the orchard area.
